How DAPA works

Who can play
Any player with a Welsh grade under 1500, from any club. Use your grade at the start of the half-season, not your live grade: if you started the half-season on 1487 and your live grade is now 1533, you enter on 1487.
Ungraded players can enter on an estimated grade, or on the minimum of 1310.
Rules
There are no special DAPA rules: the normal FIDE Laws of Chess apply, touch-move included. Things are kept simple and friendly, to encourage people to play.
Keeping score
With an increment of 30 seconds or more, you must keep score for the whole game.
With a smaller increment, you may stop keeping score once your clock first drops below five minutes, even if the increment takes it back over five minutes afterwards.
No winners
DAPA is about individuals playing each other for experience, so there is no club winner and no overall winner.
Every result is sent off for Welsh grading.
